Larson, Judy K. Norton – 1941-2008

HUDSON, Colo. — Judy K. (Norton) Larson, 67, of Hudson, Colo., passed away on Sept. 7, 2008, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1941, in Clear Lake to Robert and Jeannetta (Baldwin) Norton. She graduated from Mingo High School in Mingo. She married James H. Gerhart of Mingo in 1961, and had three children, DeAnna Lynn (Gerhart) Tamlin, Cassandra Kay (Gerhart) Linder and James Eric Gerhart.
She moved to Colorado in 1975. Judy married Clete Larson on Jan. 16, 1993, in Ft. Lupton, Colo.
Judy worked as a Hudson town clerk for 13 years. She retired from Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colo., in 1993 as an executive secretary for the metallurgy department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ft. Lupton, Colo.
Judy loved to do family gatherings, gardening, dancing, craft work and home decorating. She was a NASCAR race fan and enjoyed traveling to watch big races such as Daytona, etc.
Survivors include her brother, Richard (Shirley) Norton of Dike; her sister, Janice (Charles) Floy of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; her husband, Clete of Hudson, Colo.; daughters, DeAnna (Taw) Tamlin of Ft. Lupton. Colo., and Cassandra (Michael) Linder of Arvada, Colo.; her son, James (Susan) Gerhart of Aurora, Colo.; step-son Shawn Larson of Greeley, Colo.; step-daughter Jackie Larson of Greeley, Colo.; grandson, Richard Gerhart; and granddaughter, Kaylynn Gerhart.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the Farrar United Methodist Church located at 11180 NE 134th Ave., Maxwell.
