HAZEL SCHWARZ

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Schwarz, 91, a resident of Nelson Manor Nursing Home for a number of years, were held this morning, Oct. 29, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

Dr. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Palo Alto Cemetery.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday evening, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are a son, Derrel Waring of Monroe; three step-sons, Floyd Schwarz and Herb Schwarz, both of Newton, and Calvin Schwarz of Moline, Ill.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Tracy (Beulah) Williamson of Missoula, Mont.; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, J.E. Waring, February, 1953, second husband, Charles Schwarz in 1976, five brothers, two sisters and an infant son, Beuhl.

Mrs. Schwarz was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Golden Agers and World War I Auxiliary.

The daughter of Hiram and Cidney Black Williams, she was born Aug. 10, 1893 in Dunreath.

She was married to J.E. Waring in 1917 in Newton and to Charles Schwarz Nov. 10, 1956 in Corydon.
