RITES WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. MYERS

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Morgan Funeral Home for Mrs. Gertie Myers, 75, a lifetime resident of Jasper county who died Monday in Guernsey, Ia., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Hilligas.

Rev. Fred D. Boldt, pastor of the First Lutheran church, will officiate at the rites. Burial will be at Newton Union cemetery.

Mrs. Myers was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Williams. She was born Oct. 11, 1873, near Reasnor and attended school there. She was married to Louis Myers Dec. 24, 1902. Her husband preceded her in death about 22 years ago. One son, Max, also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Lutheran church and the Women's Relief Corps.

Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Hilligas of Guernsey, and Mrs. Mabel Stoneburner of Des Moines; one son, Floyd Myers of Newton; 17 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four brothers, Arch Williams of Davenport, Ed Williams of Newton, Bert Williams of Stuttgart, Ark., and Fred Williams of Clarion, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Varner of Corydon and Mrs. J.E. Waring of Reasnor.
