UNIONVILLE — Michael Gene Ahee, 63, of Unionville died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.
He was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Marshalltown to Don and Roberteen Beaty Ahee. He married Maxine Fisher on May 18, 1968.
Michael served in Vietnam in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Maytag after 35 years. He worked for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and Indian Hills Security.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine of Unionville; a son, Bryan of West Des Moines; a daughter, Mindy (Bruce) Rozendaal of New Sharon; three grandchildren, Cierra, Cody and Cole Rozendaal; one brother, David (Lora) Ahee of Calhoun; two sisters, Janet Morris of Fairfield and Donna (Allen) Ahee of Solon; and his mother, Roberteen Ahee of Blakesburg. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Don Ahee and his brother, Rick Ahee.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Knedler Funeral Home in Blakesburg with the Rev. Marvin Lindley officiating. Burial will be at Unionville Cemetery in Unionville, with military service by American Legion Post 407.
Open visitation begins 9 a.m. Tuesday with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Reel Recovery for Cancer Survivors or American Legion Post 407 in Unionville.
