COLFAX— Betty M. Wilson, 81, of Colfax died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton in the Monarch Wing. There will be no services for Mrs. Wilson. Per her request, her body has been donated to the Des Moines University Deeded Body Program. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Jasper County and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. She was born on March 10, 1927, in Tripoli, the daughter of Edward John and Ruth (Johnson) Kurht. In 1945, she was united in marriage to Morris R. Wilson. Betty worked for 30 years as office manager at the Colfax Veterinary Clinic. For the past 15 years, Betty lived at Colfax Park Apartments, where she enjoyed many friendships.
Betty is survived by their daughter, Dr. Maureen Merritt of Santa Fe, N.M.; a granddaughter, Melissa; grandson, Brook; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
