LACONA, IA. - Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Clara A. Knochel, 89, of Lacona, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mrs. Knochel, a homemaker, was born in Spaulding, Neb., and moved to Lacona 35 years ago. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Among survivors are a son, Ferdinand of Lacona; four daughters, Mary Marnell of Newton, Elizabeth Wachter of Milo and Marcella Schaefer and Ida Ripperger, both of Lacona; four brothers, Frank Weibel of Lacona, Ralph Weibel of Wichita, Kan., George Weibel of Denver, Colo., and Art Weibel of Elk Grove, Calif.; two sisters, Elaine Berger of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mary Anthofer of Stratton, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Mosher Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be at 6:30. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, December 1990
