Frances Brue
Frances Brue, 81, of 1107 W. 4th St. n., died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Skiff Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Immanuel Baptist Church.
The Rev. Ron Burnet, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home after noon Thursday. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Brue died Tuesday evening at Skiff Medical Center.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harvey, July 11, 1978, seven sisters, Edith Kennedy, Eva Price, Belva Davis, Dorothy Baker, Sylvia Shope, Hattie Nelson and Gladys Graham, and two brothers, Raymond Nelson and Roy Nelson.
Mrs. Brue, a homemaker, was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
The daughter of Charles and Elnora Leach Nelson, she was born July 10, 1912 in Colfax and attended Colfax schools.
She was married to Harvey S. Brue Nov. 22, 1930 in Des Moines and had resided in Newton since her marriage. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1992
