CORALVILLE - Erwin J. Stanfield, 87, of Coralville, father of Dwight Stanfield of Newton, died Friday, April 13, at his home in Coralville.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.

The Rev. Leon Aalberts, pastor of the Iowa City First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Association may be left at the George L. Gay Funeral Home in Iowa City.

Also surviving are his wife, two granddaughters and two sisters.

Mr. Stanfield, a navy veteran of World War II, was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1990
