MONROE - Vera Grace Waddle Keller, 95, of Monroe, died Saturday, July 9, at the Pella Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella.

Seventy Mark Deitrick, pastor of the Church of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, will conduct services.

Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorials to the Monroe Ambulance Fund will be accepted.

Visitation with the family will be held following burial services.

Survivors are four grandchildren, including Betty J. Karr and Robert E. Keller, both of Monroe, and Ben D. Keller of Laurel; 13 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, a son, Victor, a grandson, a great-grandson, three sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Keller, who assisted her husband for many years on the family homestead farm, was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monroe.

The daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth Young Waddle, she was born June 17, 1899 in rural Monroe.

She was married to Ben J. Keller, Oct. 24, 1917 at the family farm. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, July 1994
