Marjorie A. Kling, 76, of Newton died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at her home in Newton. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Vrankin officiating. Burial will be at the Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials designated to the First Lutheran Church may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Roy J. and Maude E. (Balmer) Kling, she was born Nov. 2, 1930, in Newton. She had lived in Knoxville for 20 years prior to moving back to Newton. A graduate of Newton High School, she worked as a CNA for the Marion County Care Facility and the Jasper County Care Facility. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Jasper County Farm Bureau.

She is survived by one sister, Roberta J. Kling of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
