Funeral Of Mrs. Wm. Zimmerman

Lynnville, Ia., July 16, Special:

Funeral services for Mrs. Will Zimmerman were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the residence. The rites were conducted by Rev. L. W. Reynolds. Mrs. Frank Ratliff, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Gifford and Charles Wagaman sang "Shall We Gather at the River," "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "The Sweet By and By." Pallbearers were G. B. McCoy, C. O. Macy, E. B. Macy, Chas. Potter, Robert Holdsworth and Jake Shain. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.

Laura Bell Veber was born in Bureau County, Ill., June 17, 1862 and died July 16 at her home in Lynnville. When two years of age she came with her parents to Jasper Co., where she spent the rest of her life.

On Oct. 10, 1880 she was united in marriage to W. F. Zimmerman, with the Rev. Mr. Dyar officiating. To this union five children were born, Luther Zimmerman of Newton, Carl Zimmerman of Anderson, Ind., Willard of Lynnville, Mrs. Joe Zellla of near Lynnville, all of whom survive. One daughter died in infancy. Besides her children and husband, she is survived by three sisters, Ida Saums of Lenora, Kan., Alice Strover of Kellogg and Emma Herman of Oskaloosa, and one brother William Veber of Kellogg and 10 grand children, Mozella, Fred and Maxine Zimmerman; Sydney, Dimple and Nancy Swan; Wayne, Max, Laura and Ella Zimmerman.

In her religious convictions she adhered to the faith as held by the Christian Church. She was a devoted and faithful wife and mother. For many years she had directed the Lynnville chapter of the Red Cross.
