Margery May Waddle, 84, of Monroe died of a heart attack Thursday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Monroe, with burial at Silent City Cemetery there.
Mrs. Waddle, a homemaker, was born near Runnells and had lived in the Monroe area most of her life.
Survivors include three sons, Norman, Kenneth "Gene" and Donald, and a daughter, Freda Waddle, all of Monroe; a sister, Esther Nelson of Beacon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, where the family will be present from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe Fire and Rescue Department.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Monroe. The Rev. Greg Baum of Monroe will conduct services. Burial will be at Filing City Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. The family will be present from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Monroe Fire and Rescue Department.
Survivors are three sons, Norman, Kenneth (Gene) and Donald Waddle, all of Monroe; a daughter, Freda Waddle of Monroe; a sister, Esther Nelson of Beacon; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph Kenneth Waddle.
Mrs. Waddle was a homemaker and farm wife. She lived in the Monroe area all her married life.
Mrs. Waddle was born February 10, 1910 near Runnells. She was a 1927 graduate of Runnells High School.
