TO HOLD TROUT RITES THURSDAY
Services For Jasper Trout, 34, to Be Conducted in NewtonFuneral services for Jasper Trout, 34, resident of Newton for 10 years, will be conducted from the Morgan funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Trout died Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. at the Sunnyslope sanitorium at Ottumwa, where he had been a patient for the last 15 days. Mr. Trout had been suffering from tuberculosis for the last two years.
Jasper Trout, son of Samuel H. and Cora Trout, was born April 9, 1902, at Stuart, Ia., and spent his boyhood in the community.
He was united in marriage to Dolores Lamb, November 4, 1924 at Winterset, Ia., where Mr. Trout was in the plumbing business.
Six months following their marriage they moved to Newton, where they have lived since Mr. Trout was employed at the Maytag factory until two years ago, when his health began to fail. He was then employed for a year by Basil Miller, but had been unable to work for the past year.
Surviving relatives include his wife; four children, Junior, 9, Nadine, 7, Robert Gerald, 6 and Kenneth, 3; his mother, Mrs. Cora Trout of Thonotosassa, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Fern Simpson of Akron, O., and four brothers, Sam Trout in Oklahoma, Roy Trout of Casey, Ia., William Trout in Colorado, and John Trout of Thonotosassa, Fla. ~ The Newton Daily News, Wednesday, July 22, 1936.
