John Franklin Clymer, son of John and Catherine Clymer, was born June 22, 1813, near P. C. and died April 12, 1937, at Muscatine.

Married Myrtle Greenlief on Feb. 21, 1895.

Frank Clymer, Mound Prairie Farmer Died

Funeral Services Were Held At Prairie City Wednesday

John Franklin Clymer, 63, well known Mound Prairie Township farmer, died Monday at a Muscatine, Iowa hospital, following an illness of some duration of a malignant disease.

Mr. Clymer had spent most of his life on the farm southwest of Colfax and was considered one of the more progressive farmers of the community and was highly respected by all who knew him.

Besides his wife, Mr. Clymer is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Faidley, Mrs. Doyle Kinart, Mrs. Orville Nearmyer and two sons John Leonard Clymer and Wm. Clymer, all of whom live in the immediate neighborhood of the Clymer home.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Prairie City from the Methodist Church with Rev. Findley in charge. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 15 Apr 1937.
