Walter W. Hugen, son or Arie and Katie Veenstra Hugen, was born in Marion County on July 25, 1869, and died March 15, 1937 at Newton.

He married Laura Etta Minor on Oct. 16, 1893.

Burial in Waveland Cemetery.
