Francis Edwin Cooper, son of Calvin and Elizabeth Cooper, was born at Salem, Ia., Oct. 7, 1851, and died Oct. 8, 1937, at Vandalia.

Married Catherine Showalter on Oct. 15, l873.

Burial in the Vandalia Cemetery.
