Clarence Seward Jenks, son of Abner and Mary Jenks, was born March 3, 1865, in Des Moines, and died at P. C. on June 18, 1932.
His wife was Meta Morgan Jenks.
Burial in Waveland Cemetery.

C. S. Jenks Life Long Resident Of That City Died Saturday
C. S. Jenks, of Prairie City, was found dead in his auto Saturday morning about 10 o'clock. According to reports he had gone to the garage after the car to call on a neighbor, and while Mrs. Jenks was not at home at the time, when she returned a short time later, she heard the engine of the car running. Uupon investigation she found Mr. Jenks at the wheel of the car with the engine running, but life had passed out.
Mr. Jenks, who was about 65 years of age, had been a life long resident of Prairie City. for many years he and his father operated a hardware (word missing?) in that city and he is well known throughout that part of the county.
He is survived by his wife, one daugher, Mrs. Rosaline Engberg of Chicago, Ill., and one son, Loren, of Evanston, Ill. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 22 Jun 1932.
