Mrs. Eliza McConnell was born in Cynthiana, Indiana March 1, 1826.

She moved to Prairie City shortly after the death of her husband during the Civil War.

She moved to Los Angeles in 1887 and lived there until her death. She died, December 19, 1926 at the age of 100 years and 10 months.

Mrs. McConnell was left with nine children after the death of her husband in Indiana.

Two, sons and two daughters are still living. She also leaves 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.
