James Wyatt Jeffries, son of James and Mary Jeffries was born near Vandalia, Iowa July 28, 1866 and died at his home in Prairie City May 9, 1926.

Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Matha Rucker, one brother, John R., several nieces and two nephews.
