George Watters, was born at Rushville, Indiana March 15, 1857 and died October 22, 1926 at the farm home of his sister, Mrs. C. M. Norris.

He was one of a family of twelve children, nine of whom survive: Wm. Watters of Runnells, Dora Watters of Bondurant, Larkin Watters of Des Moines, Peter, Melvin and Frank Watters, Mrs. Wm. White, Mrs. Wm. Erskin and Mrs. C. M. Norris, all of Prairie City.

Burial in Vandalia Cemetery.
