Samuel McKlveen, son of Henry and Catherine (Lohr) McKlveen was born January 30, 1849 in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania and died December 8, 1925 at Chariton, Iowa.

He married Miss Flora Murray, the daughter of John and Patience Murray.

Three children Mrs. Olive Childs of Des Moines, Mrs. Edna Henderson of Chariton, and John H. McKlveen of Prairie City.

One brother Jacob L. has died. Two are living – Rev. William McKlveen of Tampa, Florida, Cramer McKlveen of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Two half sisters - Mrs. Kelley of Denora, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Charles Henderson of Scottsdale, Pennsylvania.
