James Hawkins Sr. was born in Bath County, Kentucky September 27, 1842 and died April 7, 1925.

His Parents were Walter R. and Angeline Snediger Hawkins.

He was in the Civil War.

His brothers, William and John lived in Illinois where he himself lived for sometime
