J. W. Brous, youngest son of James M. and Mary Brous, was born in Marion Co., April, 1861 and died April 7, 1924 in Des Moines.

Married Ruhamie Schauck of Swan, Iowa on April 2, 1889, who died November 9, 1921.

One brother, A. H. Brous and one sister, Mrs. W. E. Howard of Salem, Oregon.

Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Des Moines.
