Francis Marion, son of William and Eliza Randall, was born near Fulton, Illinois September 28, 1923.

Came to Iowa with parents in 1878, southwest
of Kellogg. Married Lovina Rivers, daughter of William Rivers on November 7, 1886.

Five children - Arthur McClellan; Richard Francis; William Cleveland; Mrs. Martha Mabel (Geo. E.) Shorten and Miss Minnie Marie, all of Prairie City.

One sister, Mrs. Laura (S. E.) Keepers of Hugo, Colorado.

Two brothers, Cyrus of Hawkeye, Missouri and Clarence of Holton, Kansas.

Came to Prairie City in 1908 to direct the newly organized Prairie City Band.

Burial in Westview Cemetery.
