A Mother taken Away

At her home about eight miles north west of Newton, Mrs. Frank Wyatt passed from earth, last Monday evening, at nine o’clock. About a year ago, she had the grippe, which developed into consumption, this causing her death. Her maiden name was Nellie Landis and she was a Newton girl. Her mother, Mrs. Landis, and her sister, Mrs. Charlie Wise, still live in our city. Her father is dead, and her two brothers live elsewhere than Newton. She was only thirty years old, and beside her husband, four little children are thus bereft of a loving mother’s care and presence. Our hearts all go out in sympathy to the desolate family.

The funeral will be held today at the home under the charge of Rev. Sumner T. Martin, and the body will be laid away in the Independence cemetery, near Baxter.
