Mrs. Maggie Smith Jones died July ( ) 1887 at her home in Lenox, Iowa.

She was the wife of J. W. Jones.

She was born in Mahaska county in 1856 and came to Prairie City six years later.

She was the sister of Mrs. F. N. Kellogg and Mrs. James Patrie of Prairie City. Burial at Lenox.
