Mrs. Oberlis Dead

A mother in the prime of life was called from earth to her home beyond death’s river last Friday morning. It was Mrs. Louis Oberlis, living near Amboy. She had been sick about three months, with a complication of diseases. The maiden name of the deceased was Elizabeth Castorf, and her age was 41 years. A husband and three sons are thus left to grieve ever the loss of the light of their home. The funeral was held Saturday at the home, the services being conducted by Rev. Boden, of Kellogg. A large number of friends were in attendance. The body was buried at the Galesburg German cemetery.

“Among the names on earth most dear,
The names of Heaven and Home appear,
To these two they’ll add another
Blessed name, the name of Mother.”
