Died at her home in Mingo, Monday, October 26th. Mrs. S. J. McCowin, aged 63 years, 9 months, and 24 days. She had been sick for a long time and bore her afflictions very patiently. She spoke many times of her willingness to go. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Kink, of Colfax, after which the remains were taken to Iowa Center for burial and laid to rest in the Glennwood cemetery.
