Death of Mrs. Dickinson

On Monday last Mrs. Joseph Stevens received the sad news of the death of her mother, which occurred on Nov. 3rd, 1896, at Portland, Oregon. It was a great shock to Mrs. Stevens, and she was completely prostrated by the news. What made it more sad was the fact that the news of her death was not received until her mother was buried in Portland. A dispatch was sent at the time, but was lost, it is supposed, in the mass of election news. Mrs. Dickinson will be remembered by our older people, she having formerly resided here, and still owns property in Newton.
