G. O. Barnes died at his residence in this place. Wednesday morning quite suddenly; aged about 54 years. The funeral was from the late home of the deceased, conducted by Rev. King, and the remains were interred in Oak Hill; mr. Barnes fatal malady was pleurisy and he was ill only a few days. He leaves a wife.

Mr. G. O. Barnes, who died at his home in Colfax last Wednesday, was well known in this vicinity, having resided on the Malcomson farm west of this city. He leaves a wife who will be remembered as Mrs. Malcomson.
