The Newton (IA) Journal Wednesday, May 30, 1894

Kellogg Enterprise: Died, at Killduff, May 9th, 1894, little Jonson Carpenter. Little "Jonsie", as he is familiarly known, has been a dreadful sufferer for a long time, but finally death came to his relief. Our Saviour, when he was on earth said, "suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not." The child was buried at Mt. Zion on the 10th.
