OBITUARY - Nannie, oldest daughter of John and Mary Davis, was born September 3rd, 1858, in Jasper Co., Iowa, and departed this life March 6th, 1894, aged 35 years, 6 months and 3 days.

She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Pleasant View at the age of sixteen, and lived a consistent and faithful Christian until death.

She was a kind and loving daughter, gentle and affectionate sister, ever striving to conscientiously fill the place of a departed mother, and was loved by all who knew her.

About one year ago, her health beginning to fail, she was induced by her friends to seek another climate. She started to Colorado December 5, in hopes of regaining her health, but grew rapidly worse until the end.

The last few months of her life, although spent in suffering, were met by her without a murmur, her faith in her Savior remaining firm. She will be sadly missed in the church, in the Sabbath school and by her neighbors, but most of all will be missed in the home. The funeral services were held at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. D. Phillips, March 29, 1894.
