FOUND DEAD. – David Wallace Strunk, a son of Gabriel Strunk, residing about a mile southeast of Newton was found dead in bed yesterday morning. He had not been well for some weeks, and went to bed in his usual health, but was found to have died during the night, when his folks went to call him to breakfast. He was in the city on Monday and reached home about 6 p. m. he ate no supper but was heard to go to the cupboard about midnight. Coroner Newell summoned a jury and one or two physicians, and after the examination of witnesses, a verdict was rendered the he came to his death by disease of the heart. Deceased was 32 years of age, and a quiet, industrious young man. He will be buried tomorrow at Hixson’s Grove. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, July 12, 1893.
