Mrs. J. D. Norris died at her home on Saturday, Dec. 23, 1893. She was an axemplary Christian woman, and a devoted wife and mother. She leaves a husband, three step-children and one daughter to mourn their loss. The funeral takes place today (Monday), at 11 o'clock. ~ The Newton (IA) Journal, Wednesday, Dec 27, 1893.

Note: Buried in Waveland Cemetery, Des Moines Twp., Jasper Co., Iowa.

Susie Wininger died December 23, 1893. She was born December 28, 1843, in Greenfield, Ohio.

She came to Jasper County in 1866, with her parents and two years later married J. D. Norris.

They had one child, Bessie.

She leaves two brothers and two sisters.
