Mrs. D. S. Stover has received the sad news of the death of her only sister, Mrs. Nathan Elliott, of Pase Robles,Cal. She had been a great suffer for the past three years with a tumer in the throat. Mrs. Elliott was one of the early settlers of Newton, having removed to thi country with her parents from Indiana in 1854. In 1855 she was married to Nathan Elliott. In 1864 she removed to Cal. where she has since resided. ~ The Newton (IA) Journal, Wednesday, September 27, 1893.

Note: Her name was found in the JC Marriage records. She was married Nov. 8, 1855.
