Levi Faidley, 99, Longtime Colfax Resident, Dies
Colfax - Levi William Faidley, 99, one of the oldest residents in Jasper County, died Monday at his home in Colfax.
Mr. Faidley was a resident of Colfax for 93 years, moving to the Jasper County city at the age of 6 with his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Colfax Christian Church.
The Rev. Neville G. Clayton will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Faidley is survived by three sons, Clarence W. Faidley of Prairie City and Roy and Cleo Faidley, both of Colfax; a half-sister Roxie Mary Richardson of North Hollywood, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Faidley was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Faidley he was born Sept. 17, 1862 at Pocahontas [Pennsylvania].
He was married Feb. 20, 1899 [1889] to Nora Ann Gooden.
