DIED - At Charlotte, Eaton county, Michigan, on the evening of April 30, 1893, from the result of grip, Mr. John Wesley Davis, aged 73 years.

He was born in Virginia, moved to Jasper county and settled in Hixson's Grove, in 1855, where he resided until 1885, when he moved to Michigan.

Mr. Davis will be kindly remembered by our people. He leaves a wife and three children, and a large number of friends to mourn his departure. He died with full assurance of a blessed immortality. ~ The Newton Journal (Iowa), Wednesday, May 3, 1893.
