OBITUARY. - Samuel George, son of George and Susan Nesbet (McKee) Newcomb, was born at Coal Springs, Jefferson county, Pa., Jan. 5th, 1845.

By his first marriage he became the father of three sons who survive to mourn his departure. December 1st, 1892, he united in marriage with Mrs. Emma C. Axtell, of this city. After a lingering illness of several months he died at his home at 9:45, p.m., April 16th, 1893, aged 48 years, three months and 11 days. The funeral services took place from their home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. C. Jacoby officiating.

Their many friends unite in heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved widow and sons in this hour of sore trial, and in commending them to Him who hat said (John 14-18) "I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you." ~ The Newton Journal (Iowa), Wednesday, April 19, 1893.
