PRAIRIR CITY -- Mrs. Virginia Tucker, a longtime resident of Prairie City, died this morning April 27, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City is in charge of arrangements which have not been completed.

Virginia Tucker

PRAIRIR CITY -- Virginia Berry Tucker, 74, of Prairie City, a longtime resident of Prairie City, died Thursday, April 27, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

The Rev. Al Kinrade, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Prairie City, will conduct services. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to the Prairie City Community Park will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband, Wesley; a son, Ronald Rowe of Altoona; a daughter, Janice Bauman of Escondido, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Betty France of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Rowe; her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Tucker, who had owned and operated an income tax service for many years, was a member of the Prairie City Rebekah Lodge.

The daughter of May and Nona Berry, she was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Blakesburg,

She was married to Clarence Rowe and on May 28, 1975, to Wesley Tucker in Las Vegas, Nev.
