Mrs. Edgar Sabin Dies in Hospital;
Services Tuesday

Mrs. Edgar (Irene) Sabin, 68, of 908 S. 12th Ave. W., a resident of Newton since 1923, died Sunday morning in Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Toland Funeral Home.

Dr. W.W. Johnson, minister of United Presbyterian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call in the funeral home after 1 p.m. today.

Survivors are her husband, Edgar; a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Dorothy) Grant of Payton; two grandsons Robert and Douglas Grant, both of Payton, and two sisters, Miss Bessie Norton of Grinnell and Mrs. Evelyn Clarey of Fontana, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Mrs. Sabin was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and Aloeha Club. She taught piano for many years and was a pianist in old United Presbyterian Church more than 20 years.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hodgson, she was born April 24, 1900, in Ottumwa and was educated in Monroe Schools and Central College in Pella.

She married Edgar C. Sabin Sept.15,1923 in Newton.
