Prairie City News – one of the most interesting weddings of the Christmas season took place Wednesday evening, December 24, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Mollie Moore, when the daughter, Vera, became the bride of Mr. John Van Pilsum. The wedding was witnessed by several relatives and numerous friends at the hour of six, followed by a bounteous dinner. W. a. Purdy, pastor of the Christian church, spoke the words which made them man and wife.
The bride has been a successful teacher in the public schools at home and abroad.
The groom is an aggressive young farmer and well liked in the community.
The bride and groom left Christmas day for Chicago where they will spend their honeymoon after which they will return to the beautiful home now being completed. At home after March 1st.
