GRAND FAMILY REUNION

Quite an interesting family reunion occurred Thursday of last week at the home of E. N. Grimes. It was the tenth annual reunion of the Tice family. Mrs. Grimes is a daughter of the late Madison Tice, who came to Iowa from Illinois in 1849, settling near Pella, where Mrs. Tice still lives on the old home place.

There were about 50 people present last Thursday to participate in the pleasures of the day. Mrs. Tice just returned from Utah the preceding Tuesday. She was present and in addition those from a distance were:

Hardin Tice of Oskaloosa; Alfred Noeal and wife of Leighton; David Tice of Monroe; Monroe Tice and daughter Bertha of Atlantic; Lincoln Tice of Monroe; T. D. Tice and family of Pella; J. E. Hull and family of Taintor; J. W. Straughan and family of New Sharon; Luther Lawrence and family of Villisca; F. P. Mc Adoo and family of Indianola.

A number of Illinois relatives were expected but some unexpected engagement kept them from coming. These reunions are held in Iowa and Illinois alternately. To say that the relatives have good times when they meet thus does not begin to express the facts. The meeting last week was one of the best ever held. They feasted on all the delicacies of the season and enjoyed themselves to their hearts content.
