The annual reunion of the Tinnermeier family was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Toedt, 4 miles southeast of Baxter.
A chicken dinner was served at noon. The afternoon was spent in visiting and playing games after which ice cream and cake were served. A musical program was also given and an interesting talk by
Rev. Mills of the Wittemberg church was enjoyed.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year. Lou Tinnermeier, president; Frances Tinnermeier, secretary-treasurer.
All the children, with the exception of Mrs. Henry Pester of Johnson, N. Dak., were present to greet their mother, Mrs. Minnie Tinnermeier. The children present were: Mrs. Ida Toedt and Henry Tinnermeier of Newton; Mrs. Martin Damman; Mrs. Fred Hamler and Mrs. August Osterhagen of Melbourne; Albert Tinnermeier, Laurel; Louis and August Tinnermeier, Baxter; including the wives, husbands, children and grandchildren of the families named, there were 85 present and several special guests also attended.
The Tinnermeier family is numbered among the oldest in the county. Mrs. Minnie Tinnermeier, in whose honor the courtesy was held, will be 80 years of age this fall and has 38 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
