Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Sunday, Dec. 20th. A merry crowd of relatives gathered at the Oak Grove Church, spread the dinner tables, and then sent over for the Jones to come to dinner. They were happily surprised.

Frank and Pearl were married Dec. 19th, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Signs, just east of the church. They lived on farms near Ira and in 1915 moved to their comfortable farm home just west of the church. They have twin daughters, Maxine and Nadine in high school. All are members of the Christian church at Ira and the Oak Grove Grange.

The guests were Mrs. Emery Signs, Mrs. Ora Hanson and son Hansell, Dewey Kern, John Signs, Mr. and Mrs. Art Southern, Francis and Colleen, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Southern of Mingo, Mr. and Mrs. John Jones and five children of Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Weston, Helen and John of Ira, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones and four children, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Signs, Jack Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones and daughters. The muddy roads and sickness kept several families at home. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 31 Dec 1931.
