Mr. and Mrs. August DeCamp Wed Fifty Years ago Today

Mr. and Mrs. August DeCamp Sr of this city are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today (Thursday). They are hold open house from 1:30 until 5 o'clock this afternoon and invite all of their friends to call.

Mr. and Mrs. DeCamp were united in marriage in France Sept. 10, 1886 and two weeks later came to live in the United states. Twenty-eight years of their married life have been spent in Colfax. Through Mrs. DeCamp has been an invalid for a number of years, they are in normal good health and looking forward to a day of happiness with their children and friends.

Four Stalwart sons and two daughters August Jr., Tony, Rene, of Colfax and Alfred of Newton; and Mrs. Chester Binkerd of Colfax and Mrs. Harold Paschal of Newton with their families are to them their greatest source of comfort, joy and pride.

Amiable, upright and loyal, they have won through the years the title of good citizens who have made a host of friends as they journeyed a long through life. May they have many more years of happiness and contentment together. ~ Newspaper unknown, Sept 1936.
