Monroe Mirror - Wm. Harvey, formerly of this county, has now an income of $800 per day from a silver ore plant owned by him near Crede Camp, Colorado.

Hume, Dale
Monroe Youth, 17, Is Shot in Chest
Monroe (Special) – Dale Hume, 17-year-old Monroe high school student, is in satisfactory condition at Skiff hospital today after suffering a severe gunshot wound yesterday afternoon.
Relatives said that the boy came home from school and had gone into the kitchen to clean or examine his 22-caliber rifle. The gun discharged into his chest and punctured one lung.
The youth’s grandfather said he enjoyed hunting and may have been preparing to go outdoors when he was injured. Dale hasn’t yet described how the accident occurred.
The boy is the son of Mrs. Albert Lincoln, Monroe.

Nelson, Dewayne L.
Mr. and Mrs. William D. Anderson, 2815 Wood, Ames, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Lou to Dewayne L. Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Nelson, Monroe.
Miss Anderson is employed at Iowa State Highway Commission at Ames.
Nelson is a draftsman at Newton and will soon enter his junior year in electrical engineering at Iowa State College.
A September wedding is planned. (They were married Sept. 16)

Ilgenfritz, Mrs. E. E.
Mrs. E. E. Ilgenfritz, wife of the lat Rev. Ilgenfritz, former pastor of the Methodist church here for several years, and her daughter, Mrs. Stemen, have moved to Monroe and are making their home in the Irwin property. Mrs. Stemen will assist as saleslady in the Cochrane store.

Rickabaugh, Mrs. Loren
Mrs. Loren Rickabaugh had the misfortune to fall on the icy sidewalk last Sat. evening, breaking a bone in her wrist. The injured hand is in a cast and she is resting comfortably at her home.
