Picked Persimmons and Flower
Friday, Wm. McKeever and Andy Story were out in the McKeever Persimmon orchard picking some of the choice ones, when they discovered a dandelion in full bloom. And while they stood there looking at it a hungry honey bee came and enjoyed refreshment. This was November 25th. The flowers and bees are staying with us much longer than the "native sons of California."
Mr. McKeever reports that the persimmon crop this year is not so good as other years. The trees he has on his farm are probably the only ones this far north, but most years they bear an abundance of fine fruit and have for many years.
