DeLoris Stinson Becomes Bride of D. E. Wastier

Rev. H. L. Rust Reads Double Ring Vows
At congregational Church

BAXTER - DeLoris Berl Stinson, daughter of Mrs. John Stinson became the bride of Dale Eugene Wastier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Wastier.

The ceremony took place at 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Congregational church in Baxter. Rev. Henry L. Rust, pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony, before the altar decorated with large baskets of white gladioli and pink roses, and flanked on each side by candelabras, and a background of palms and candles.

Organ selections preceding the ceremony were furnished by Mrs. LeRoy Allspach. Mrs. Don Pooge sand "Always", and "I Love You Truly", accompanied by Mrs. Allspach. The latter also played the traditional wedding marches.

Mrs. Pooge also sang "The Lord's Prayer", (Malotte) as the couple knelt before the alter.

Bride's Dress

The Bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Donald Young. Her gown was of white satin fashioned with a sweetheart neckline. The fitted basque waist buttoned down the back with tine satin buttons, and trimmed with tiny seed pearls. The long sleeves were pointed at the wrists, and the full skirt ended in a long rain. Her finger tip veil of illusion net fell from a halo crown, studded with seed pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty rose buds and stephonotis. her jewelry was a strand of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom.

Mrs. Jerome Pollard, sister of the bride, attending as maid of honor was attired in a blue floor length taffeta and net gown. She wore elbow length gloves, and carried a colonial bouquet of red roses. Little Linda Lee Mullihan, niece of the bride, dressed in a floor length gown of pink net over satin, carried a white basket of rose petals. Her corsage was of tiny rose buds.

The bride-groom was attended by William Pollard, brother-in-law of the bride.

Jim Mullihan, Rolla Wastier, Darrell Brown and Paul Martinson served as ushers. All men of the bridal party wore white carnation botuonniers.

The mother of the bride chose a teal blue street length dress, with black accessories. The bride groom's mother wore navy blue with black accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of white gardenias.

The misses Phyllis Herzog and Elsie Kienle attired in floor length gowns of yellow net over taffeta, charge of the guest book. They lighted the altar candles and had wore corsages of red roses.

Mrs. Alden Berry, Renee and Elba DeCamp presided at the gift table.

Reception

A reception was held in the church dining room. The lace covered table was centered with a golden bowl of pin and white roses and gold candles.

A three tiered wedding cake was cut in the traditional manner by the bride and groom. Mrs. Margie Mullihan, sister of the bride poured, and Mrs. Marie Young, also a sister, served the cake, both wore corsages of red roses centered with a white gardenia.

Dining room hostesses were Mrs. Donald Donaldson and Mrs. Willarad Young, Kitchen hostesses were Mrs. Henry Rust, Mrs. Ed Schroeder and Mrs. Roy Wastier.

Following the reception the couple left on a trip through Minnesota and Canada.

The bride's going away ensemble was a beige two piece suit with brown accessories, and a corsage of white gardenias.

After September 1, the couple will make their home in Baxter.

Mrs. Wastier is a graduate of Baxter high school with the class of 1945, and since her graduation has been employed in the Maytag office in Newton.

Mr. Wastier, a graduate of Baxter high school with the class of 1944 ins associated with his father in the Baxter Mercantile store.
