BYERS, H. V., Dr.
He was born 13 Feb 1848,in Mercer Co., PA, and in 1851 came to Burlington Iowa; in 1853 he removed to Mahaska Co. and commenced the study of medicine in 1869 with Dr. Birge. He commenced the practice of his profession in Oswego, KS in 1872. In 1876 he moved to Newton and he owns his residence in the city. He married Mary KENDALL in May 1876, in Louisa Co., Iowa. they have two children--Gibson and Charles. ~ "Newton Township Biographies," The History of Jasper County, Iowa, (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878)
