MEREDITH, C. O.
Farmer; Sec. 2; P. O. Lynnville; resides on his father's farm of 326 acres; born in Henry Co., Ind., Oct. 15, 1844; moved to this county in 1865, where he has since resided; attended school at Grinnell College three years, but owing to ill health, caused by hard study and confinement, was prevented from graduating; he then worked on a farm three years, and his health improving by the outdoor exercise. He began teaching school and taught four years; but his health again failed from too much confinement and he was compelled to return to the farm. Is a man of considerable ability and has filled the office of Township Assessor two years, discharging the duties of his office satisfactorily. Married Angie GAUSE Nov. 30, 1868; she is also a native of Henry Co., Ind.; they have two children-Ernest and Effie.
